Lovely
She is more lovely than anyone I have seen
Entirely more beautiful than any queen
I have loved her ever since I laid eyes on her
And when she speaks, I hang on every word
Yes, she has her ups and downs
And I do admit sometimes she makes me frown
But despite all that goes on our love will forever remain
I smile every time she whispers my name
And she grins every time I do the same
She is with me everywhere I go
By my side during my highs and lows
In sickness and in health
She will be with me if I was poor or if I had a lot of wealth
Lovelier than the stars in the night sky
More beautiful than looking down in the Grand Canyon from up high
We found each other, it was meant to be
She is lovely and her mind is free
Her name is Life, and she lives in you and me
Entirely more beautiful than any queen
I have loved her ever since I laid eyes on her
And when she speaks, I hang on every word
Yes, she has her ups and downs
And I do admit sometimes she makes me frown
But despite all that goes on our love will forever remain

Potential
One day two people name Hope and Future met
They fell deeply in love and had a child name Potential
Potential was a bright child and very smart
He made straight A's and was very talented in Art
That made his parents Hope and Future very proud
They smiled every time they looked at their only child
In class Potential was the leader in every group project
All the teachers enjoyed because out of all the students he was the best
But kids would always tease him in class
One particular kid, Jealousy, his teasing would never last
The teasing discouraged Potential everyday
Crying on his bed after school, is where he lay
One day Potential decided to change his act
That day he decided to be bad
his straight A's ended, he did not try in school
In class he constantly acted like a fool
He rose in the ranks of being cool
Potential, his name withered away, and his nickname, "Disappointment" took its place
Hope and Future viewed their son as a sad case
In the streets late at night, he was in a bad state
"Disappointment" would skip class, and hang out at nights
He got a big reputation of getting into fights
He was out in the world doing all the wrong things
His classmates did not see him as a honest human being
Then when things couldn't get any worse, Hope and Future received bad news
Potential had been shot down walking home from school
He lay on the sidewalk in a pool of blood
Gasping for air as in his mind memories flood
A+ in art class, scholar of year
He breathed his last breath and out of his eye came a single tear
"Disappointment" died that day, Potential's death was seen as a real tragedy
Hope and Future cry everyday remembering the Potential that used to be

Thoughts of The Day
Problems are meant for making you stronger. If you succumb to them that shows how weak you are. If you overcome them, then you are a stronger person

Thoughts of The Day
Communication is one of the biggest problems in relationships. Instead of arguing and yelling at each other, talk to one another. An open heart is a open mind.

Thoughts of The Day
When situations seem dark remember that your light shines the brightest when your situations are the darkest
The Game
It feels like I'm lost in a maze looking for the right one
Thinking about how to approach her
Maybe a pick up line, or a pun
Scratch that. Both are too silly
Maybe I should just freestyle, like "A Milli"
Hi my name is Jonathan, and you look nice today
She looks at me and asks "are you gay?"
"No", I reply, a little offset
Maybe it's the scarf and the black vest, but I digress
I smile at her and try a conversation
But she just looks at me and starts back, with a little hesitation
She thinks there must be something wrong with my presentation
In her mind "I'm just another black guy"
But in reality I'm not a player at all, actually I'm pretty shy
Blinded, I go along with "The Game"
Thinking "this might work" until I go insane
I treat her nice and all
There for her every time she calls
Not knowing that she has me wrapped around her finger
Thoughts in my mind about what she said last night still lingers
Things are going great and everything seems perfect
Until that one day she hits "reject"
Left alone and feeling used
I guess this is how most girls feel by most dudes
This is a tricky game we play
Sitting, still wondering if this night will ever turn into day
You see I was fouled on the play
Placed on injured reserve
Not coming back for another play
Done for the count, out for the season
I look back and think "what's the reason"
"I'm a nice guy what wrong did I do?"
"I thought what we had was always true"
Unable to trust
full of anger and distrust
Weeks go by and another approaches me
I think to myself "she's not going to play me"
So I used "The Game" and guess what it works!
Now she is crying on her bed full of hurt
The message of the scribe is don't play "The Game"
Because sooner or later we all experience the pain
Thinking about how to approach her
Maybe a pick up line, or a pun
Scratch that. Both are too silly
Maybe I should just freestyle, like "A Milli"

Thoughts of The Day
"The mark of the immature man is that we wants to die nobly for a cause, while the mark of the mature man is that he wants to live humbly for one." - Wilhem Stekel

Food for Thought
Despite the different dialects and languages. The most understood action is a smile.
First open scribe... Tell me what you think
Why does it matter what you wear?
People say "that's nice" but don't truly care
A look and a smile is all you get
and then by next class they just forget
Gucci, Prada, and Louis Vuitton
Who care what you have on?
They say I dress for me, and not for them
But secretly you envision the compliments when buying Ralph Lauren
Just countless dollars spent
I shake my head as I write this rhyme
Countless dollars used trying to stay fly
Behind these fancy clothes lives a lie
"I'm just stayin fresh 'till I die"
Two hundred dollars spent on tennis shoes
Do they give you a sense of happiness? Just a false mood
Now don't get me wrong, looking presentable is nice
But you shouldn't spend one hundred dollars on crushed ice
Chain heavy, and lost in the world
having the right clothes gets you all the girls
Clothes that attract the opposite sex
Love for all the wrong reasons
Due to the different styles of the changing seasons
Does it matter what clothes you wear?
Think of this next time as your outfit lays on your bed prepared
